Howard N. Sobel, Esq. Successfully Argues Copier Lease Case
As set forth in the case opinion below, attorney Howard N. Sobel has successfully argued an appeal concerning a copier lease agreement for his client Canon Financial Services, Inc. (“CFS”). In an opinion handed down on June 12, 2017, the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, affirmed a lower court ruling on behalf of CFS. The dispute involved the lower court’s order enforcing a settlement between CFS and one of its customers. Attorney Sobel had successfully argued in the trial court that the defendant had a legal obligation to return five copiers to CFS, pursuant to a settlement agreement or in the alternative pay CFS the value for the copiers. The lessee appealed the decision. The appellate court found no compelling arguments to overturn the trial court ruling.
